The QR code generator turns a link or a piece of text into a code that phone cameras can read. The code is created in your browser and the data you enter is written straight into it (a static QR code). There is no redirect server in between, so the code does not expire; if you want to change the data later, you need to create a new code.
1. Enter the content
Type the web address or text the code should open. Open the link in your browser first to make sure it goes to the right page.
2. Adjust the look
Pick colours and an optional logo. A dark code on a light background is the easiest to scan.
3. Test it
Before downloading, scan the code on screen with a few different phones and check that it opens the right address.
4. Download
Download SVG for print and PNG for the web and social media.
Where to use it
- A QR menu on restaurant and café tables.
- Linking packaging, labels or business cards to your website or social media account.
- A link to your Google Business Profile review page in the shop window.
- Sign-up or information pages on flyers, posters and event materials.
Tips for reliable scanning
- Do not print the code too small; size it for the distance it will be scanned from.
- Leave an empty margin (quiet zone) around the code and do not overlay text or images.
- If you added a logo, always test the code before printing.
- Use a short, permanent address; if it changes, printed codes will point to the old page.
Good to know
- Static QR codes do not count scans; this tool does no tracking.
- Make sure the link the code opens is safe and belongs to you.

Questions
Is the QR code generator really free?
Yes, it is completely free and needs no account or card details. Create and download as many QR codes as you like.
Do my QR codes expire?
No. Every code stores the data you entered directly (static). It does not depend on any redirect server, so it keeps working for good.
Can QR codes with a logo still be scanned?
Yes. When you add a logo, the QR standard's error correction (Reed-Solomon) takes over, so a small logo keeps the code readable; scan it with your phone before you download.
Which format should I download?
Choose SVG (vector) for print, signage, packaging and high-resolution graphics, and PNG for social media posts and websites.
