How to use the background remover
This tool separates the main subject of a product or portrait photo from its background and lets you download the result as a transparent PNG or on a white background. The separation is done by an AI model that runs in your browser, so the photo never leaves your device. The model is downloaded to your browser on first use, so the first image can take a few seconds longer.
1. Choose a photo
Drag and drop or pick a PNG, JPG, WebP or iPhone HEIC photo. Files can be up to 20 MB; very large images are scaled down on your device before processing.
2. Check the result
When it finishes, use the before/after slider to inspect the edges. Fine details such as hair, fur or glass depend on the lighting and how plain the background is.
3. Pick a format
